In an industry often defined by fast-paced technology and constant change, razorblue stands out for one simple reason: we genuinely put people first. Sally Jackson, our Talent Acquisition Manager, gives a first-hand look into what makes razorblue unique from the inside out. Beyond our technical expertise and impressive growth, it’s our people-focused approach that drives every success.
Sally shares how this commitment to people shapes our growth, defines our client relationships, and fosters a supportive, collaborative environment within our team. At razorblue, we don’t just solve technical problems – we build lasting partnerships and make a real difference in our communities. Here’s an inside look at how we bring the human side of tech to life every day…
As a member of the People Team at razorblue, I have a unique perspective on what truly makes us different from others in the industry. While many companies claim to put people first, I get to see firsthand how this shapes everything we do.
Working in the People Team at razorblue, I get asked all the time what makes us different from other MSP’s. I could talk about our impressive growth from a small tech startup to over 180 people across the UK, or our long list of certifications. But honestly? It’s all about the people.
The tech industry can sometimes feel a bit… well, technical. But at razorblue, we’re proving that putting people first doesn’t mean compromising on technical excellence. From our apprentices (who often end up becoming some of our strongest team members) to our most experienced pros, everyone brings something unique to the table.
Yes, we’re experts in all the technical stuff you’d expect – managed security, IT support, cloud services, connectivity, and software development. We’ve worked on more than 700 projects just in the last year! But what makes us different is how we do it.
Our teams don’t just solve technical problems – they build real relationships and put people at the heart of technology. Whether they’re helping a client set up their infrastructure or developing custom software, they genuinely care about getting it right and that shows in the results.
razorblue has consistently grown from a much smaller team to the nationwide operation we are today. Along the way, we’ve:
• Opened new offices across the UK (hello, Salford Quays!)
• Earned some impressive certifications (Microsoft Solutions Partner status, ISO 27001, 14001, 9001 and Cyber Essentials Certified Assessors – the works)
• Built partnerships with over 500 businesses
But what really makes us proud? Seeing team members grow from apprentices to Solutions Architects, watching colleagues support each other through challenging projects, and hearing clients talk about our people like they’re part of their own team.
One of my favourite things about razorblue is how we give back to our communities. Since 2014, we’ve been providing special discounted rates on IT support to local charities and making them aware of the charity offers and licencing they can take advantage of. It’s not just about ticking the corporate social responsibility box – it’s about making a real difference.
In my role, I see what makes razorblue special every day. It’s in the little things – the team member who: helps colleagues, takes time to mentor our newest apprentice or the engineer who knows their client’s business inside out.
We’re not perfect (who is?), but we’re genuine in our commitment to putting people first – whether that’s our own team or our clients. In a world where technology moves at lightning speed, we believe it’s this human touch that really sets us apart.
Want to know the best part of my job? Watching people thrive here. Because when you get the people part right, the technical excellence naturally follows. That’s the razorblue way, and I couldn’t be prouder to be part of it.
