August 2019 marks a very special month at razorblue. We are working hard to support causes that are close to our hearts to reach the next milestone in the donations raised.

The five charities we support are Butterwick Hospice, My Sister’s Place, Teenage Cancer Trust, Macmillan Cancer Support and Great North Air Ambulance Service.

Off to a running start for the GNR

There is only a handful of weeks left until the Great North Run (GNR) takes place and we are proud to have 5 razorblue representatives running on behalf of our charities including Nick Smith, Matt Stapleton, Mark Wilkinson, Amy Dawson and Aran Morland.

Amy Dawson is running for My Sister’s Place and can’t wait to get stuck into the 13.1 mile journey from Newcastle’s city centre to the coast in South Shields.

Currently we have raised £280.

Please help us in raising money for these vital charities, and support those who are running to represent them. Thank you from everyone at razorblue!

Tombola Prize Collections

The first week in August, we have been collecting Tombola prizes for Butterwick Hospice across our Wynyard, Catterick and Manchester Offices. The charity have been looking for donations on toys, books, stationary, chocolates, sweets, alcohol and unwanted Christmas gifts. The individual staff donations have been fantastic and #teamrazorblue have pulled together to deliver some great prizes.

Skydiving for Cancer

Our very own Client Support Engineer Jez Cajiao has also joined up with Teenage Cancer Trust and making the jump for his life in their Autumn Skydive which takes place on 29th September.

Great razorblue Bake Off!

Many members of #teamrazorblue are secret bakers and have suggested a bake sale this month to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support, Great North Air Ambulance Service and My Sister’s place. Everyone is welcome and we have some hopeful bakers including New Business and Marketing Executive Hannah Close, and razorblue Intern Alice Wilde.

Other Activities

  • We are also taking part in the Endeavour Partnership’s Big Little Walk on 13th September to support Community Campus.
  • razorblue are attending the Daisy Chain Winter Ball in November
  • Our very own Client Support Engineer Shiv is still fundraising after competing in his last charity boxing match. He is now planning on raising for a charity in his local area, the Christies Charity.
