With 7 offices and 140 staff, we offer clients a genuine 24/7 support service through our own internal service desk, implementation team, software developers and cabling engineers.

The Role

We are looking for a .PHP Developer to join our dedicated development team to deliver new projects and maintain existing systems whilst ensuring the highest standards are maintained.

This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with 2-3 years development experience within a PhP environment.  We have an existing PhP team, and this role will strengthen our development capability and provide an excellent opportunity for the candidate to further develop their career within a growing business based in our Wynyard office.

Your duties will include:

Internal Development (75%), of which:

  • Develop and test software for internal applications
  • Supporting the internal business management system
  • Meetings with internal stakeholders to determine requirements of new developments.
  • Mentor and support associate developers within the team

External Development (25%), of which:

  • New Development of client applications to meet client requirements
  • Supporting existing client application, including bug fixes and general upkeep of systems
  • Communicate with clients to gather requirements, explaining technical decisions and processes where necessary as well reporting on and demonstrating progress

What we're looking for

  • Experience in a development role using:
    • PHP
    • MySQL
    • Linux OS Environments
    • CSS
    • HTML
    • JavaScript
  • Relevant Degree or similar qualification beneficial but not required
  • A passion for writing efficient, understandable, and well commented code
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Extreme professionalism and personal presentation
  • An ability to work independently and perform own research
  • Excellent organisational skills including the ability to manage and prioritise
