The Challenge:

Ryedale District Council provides services for over 52,900 residents, as well as local businesses and tourists. The Council is responsible for an area of 575 square miles, ranging from busy market towns to hill farms. The Council has 200 computer users over four locations and a number of home workers. Coupled with ever increasing security requirements, Ryedale District Council needed an IT solution that was flexible and fully tailored to their needs.

As a public sector organisation, Ryedale District Council was subject to tight budgetary restraints and had limited internal esources. Their in-house IT team had previously taken care of their needs, however due to the number of changes that had taken place in the world of IT security, this was becoming unmanageable. A solution was required to meet GCSX CoCo and PSN security compliance.

Client Profile:

Ryedale District Council lies between York and the Heritage coastline of North
Yorkshire. The Council covers an area of 575 square miles and is one of the
seven Districts that make up North Yorkshire. The offices are based in Malton,
Easingwold and Scarborough.

The Solution:

razorblue assessed Ryedale District Council’s requirements and inhouse capabilities to offer a bespoke solution which would meet all of their needs.
