The Challenge:

Harewood House is one of Yorkshire’s leading attractions They approached razorblue to create a bespoke ticketing and membership system: the existing system was unreliable and inefficient, whilst additionally using a complex direct debit management solution for memberships requiring duplicate data entry and monitoring by members of the finance team. razorblue observed that the existing system provided many different ways of completing similar tasks, making training difficult. Transactional amounts were often incorrectly keyed, there was no tracking of split cash and card payments and a significant paper trail was required.

Harewood House is an independent charitable trust which opens its collections and grounds for the public . Dating back to the 1700’s and a popular host to contemporary art exhibitions, farming experience and more than 100 acres of gardens. It is a very popular attraction.

The Solution:

razorblue proposed a cloud-based C#.net solution, allowing staff to view live guest figures as tickets are sold. More reliable than the previous system, the new solutionremoves the need to enter data into multiple systems, thus reducing the paper trail. The previous Direct Debit solution was replaced by GoCardless, which fully integrates with the system requesting payments and updates the system when payments are received. A wizard-based ticket sale process was created which provides staff members with the best ticket options for a party of guests
